The Fray: The Fray

Sophomore self titled album The Fray

After two years of touring internationally, The Fray took some time off to work on their second album.  The band started recording early in July 2008 and released their sophomore album, self-titled "The Fray" in February 2009.

After filming a music video in Chicago for their new single, "You Found Me" and releasing digital tracks for purchase on iTunes, The Fray's first single debuted in a one-minute promo for the upcoming season of ABC's Lost.  With this mass exposure and a legion of die-hard fans, The Fray's second album proved to be a hit.

Although "The Fray" album received mixed reviews from fellow musicians, most reviewers gave the album the thumbs up; saying the album was full of radio-friendly hits.  The band has managed to produce two singles that gained lots of attention.  To date, The Fray's self-titled album rose to number one on the Billboard Top 100 in May 2009.  Internationally, The Fray have received accolades from the UK and Canada, touting the album among the top 10.  In the United States, The Fray has gone gold, selling more than 500,000 copies and climbing.  Worldwide, the band has sold nearly 800,000 copies of their follow-up album.
